A finance industry professional with over 20 years experience, including the past several as a mortgage broker with Loan Market, I have helped to arrange over $300 million in home loans and investment loans for my clients. Over the years, home loans have become more complex, incorporating many additional features for clients to use to manage their home loans, however they don't all really save you money. It's important not to automatically get a home loan with all the â€œbells and whistlesâ€ if it means paying a higher interest rate; they may not all help you and will just cost you money. First home buyers
Even well-researched first home buyers can find the process of securing their first home loan a bit confusing. There are so many home loans to choose from and there can be some quite technical information involved, so my aim is to simplify the process as much as possible. I will give you an overview of the home loan application process in plain English, and help you to sort through the home loan market to find the one that is right for you.
I can also assist you to determine your eligibility for the First Home Owners Grant and Queensland's generous stamp duty concessions, and complete any necessary applications.
Once you have decided on the right home loan, I will help you to negotiate a good interest rate and minimise fees as much as possible. And after your home loan has been approved, I can help you with strategies to save as much money over the course of your home loan as possible.
I have assisted many investors to buy investment properties. A number of my clients, have large property holdings, including several with portfolios of over 10 investment properties. I have a wealth of knowledge of various investment strategies and investment loan structures that enable clients to make sure they are in the best position to leverage of existing properties and build an investment property portfolio.

This area can be quite complex and there are many rules involved, so having an experienced and knowledgeable mortgage broker to assist you in understanding this complicated finance is a great asset.
Home loans for new arrivals to Australia
Finding a home loan can be confusing at the best of times, but probably never more so than when you are new to Australia. If you are newly arrived and do not yet have residency status, there are some special conditions you may need to meet, as set out by the Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB), for purchasing property in Australia. There may also be different requirements from your lender, than for Australian citizens or from those in your home country. I have an excellent knowledge of the rules, regulations and processes involved in applying for a home loan when you are newly arrived and can help you navigate and manage the process with a minimum of fuss.
